I am currently a junior at Virginia Tech
University, graduating in May 2011 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. I’ve lengthened my planned
course of study one year to allow a semester to study abroad, though I haven’t quite decided where I’d
like to go yet. I’ve always wanted to get out of the U.S. and travel a bit, so I thought this would be
the best opportunity for me to not only travel but settle down in an area long enough to get the most I
can out of the experience.
I’ve really enjoyed my time at Tech. I’m glad
to have decided to attend it, for the Hokie community is something to desire to be a part of. The
ultimate motive for my attendance is Tech’s engineering school. As of Aug. 2008, U.S. News and World Report ranked
Tech’s undergraduate engineering college 14th nationally (Virginia Tech Listing).
The second reason is the campus food of course,
number one in the nation!
It’s quite a great college and I’m having fun there when I’m not cramming the books.
